With a roaring open log fire which gives the room a warm and pleasant feel, it is the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed and tasty meal from our extensive reasonably priced menu, accompanied by a bottle of wine from our excellent wine list. And remember A Meal without Wine is like a Kiss without a Cuddle A recent comment about "The Green Room" placed on our feedback form. "We were lucky enough to use your restaurant on 15th December to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. I must tell you how wonderful the whole experience was. It was a lovely touch that you put up a couple of banners and balloons. The service was very good with all members of staff friendly and helpful. And as for the food. Well there was not a single item that any of the six of us had that was not cooked to perfection and everything was absolutely delicious. I was also extremely surprised and pleased with how flexible the chef was. I personally ordered salmon as my main coarse and as I cannot eat apples or drink cider I asked if the cider could be omitted from the sauce. The chef went one better than that and I was offered the choice of TWO other sauces to go with it. An all round very enjoyable evening was had by all and be assured we will be returning ourselves in the future and have already started recommending The Green Room and The George to friends.
